Why I Choose to Sleep on Concrete!?

I have a amazing story about what it's like to live in a tent city and at an "Occupy" location. I'll inform you on how this Occupy Wallstreet movement has effected me and how it will effect YOU. I truly am flooded with emotion about what I have learned recently and really want to share it with you. By experiencing this movement first hand in my home town I have realized a lot. If your not sure what Occupy Wall Street is Really about Please Read and check out my older posts.

As I followed this movement online all I could think was Wow this Will get big, and will be life changing! I'm witnessing people rising up and uniting to protest for peace, justice, and prosperity for Everyone. It is amazing to be part of and way overdue. It manifested in people starting with a simple factually statement, that inequality is at an all time high in history, 99% of people would have to combine there wealth to compare to the other 1%. Many other stunning truths have brought this protests to an uproar world wide. It has brought attention to the small elite group who are running our lives and is making them uncomfortable. Even if we don't like it, want to admit it, our even care it is a fact we are being betrayed by the system.  Millions of people talking has caused major buzz scaring some big wigs.  I seen this movement start with a few hundred people at Zuccotti Park in NY and  has spread to about 2,000 cities world wide within just a month, one of the cities being my home town, Eugene OR.  I'm learning so much everyday by being involved asking questions and sharing ideas. Discussing with a wide range of people with different beliefs is insiteful beyond belief. If I just touch on a certain hard to talk about subject I will find out I only know little about the problem. I usually find things are worse than I even think so discussing tough issues is fascinating.  A record number of people are struggling since the great depression. Even if it's not bad for you now, one way are the other, you are being screwed by the system.

The good news is people are uniting and addressing several real problem and discussing solutions to solve them. With poverty and inequality at its highest ever in history we must be active and educated on what is going on. It's a great time in history to better the health and prosperity for everyone. That being the main purpose behind Occupy Wall Street it has been decided that not much else matters at all. Please research how I can justify saying that and how it affects you.

In the first 4 days Occupy Eugene has become a huge success breaking records as the biggest protest in Eugene history with over 2,000 people marching on the first day. Know we are feeding 1,000 people each day on donations from the community.  We had about 600 sleeping in the park on second night alone. After the march it was decided to Occupy the park in the middle of downtown, right in front of Wells Fargo's roughly 15 story building, and in front of the Lane County Courthouse. There has been overwhelming support from the community, businesses, and even the police department which has been very inspiring to say the least.  Eugene's community has an overwhelming amount of people who want to help and our actively supporting the movement with many more joining in each day. People have came down with donations of tent's, blankets, tarps, tools, computers, projectors, canopy's, books, literally tons of food, and so much more! In just the first 4 days with help from so many dedicated people we have formed our own licensed kitchen, media station, live stream, twice daily community assemblies, legal comity, community outreach comity, moral comity, sobriety tent, library, meditation tent, massage tent, medical tent, spiritual tent, information booth, and several other comity's and support systems! All this from donations that seemed to poor in from everywhere. So many people are willing to help others I can't believe it. Not just in our town but to really help the 99% of strangers world wide that deserve better lives.

What an experience I'm living being there actually occupying my own tent in the cold raining Oregon park. Not because I have to, I have a home and many loving family members and friends that wouldn't allow me to sleep in a tent permanently.  I decided to sleep on concrete though in attempt to better understand reality and to get the biggest impact as possible. You don't have to sleep in the park to become involved but it's a great why to educate yourself on the what millions of people deal with everyday. I have found joy by being very active in anyway possible and even though I slept terribly I really have learned a lot in the last 4 days. It has been emotional, educational, and inspiring enough for me to share with the world.

I have seen so many people who really need help. Many our a combo of being homeless, pregnant, sick, mentally ill, disabled, unlawfully fired, hungry, and so many other problems that should be addressed. In Eugene alone I've seen several people who clearly would qualify for Government Assistance programs if they existed our if people helped them! People you think would qualify to receive mandatory help are being neglected. Either a loophole disqualifies them from government help, our no programs even exist. There are so many unfairly neglected helpless people who need our support but are being ignored.   I've also seen so many smart people who want to work and that have looked for work for months our years even, but still can't find jobs. Even students educated with degrees are down here talking about how there stuck in debt without much hope. There are even business owners struggling and speaking up at these meetings. There are so many retired people and elders who can't work and are not receiving proper care. It is overwhelming me with emotion even thinking about what I have learned recently.

I will never stop supporting Occupy Wall Street and I think it will become a true revolution.  No longer can we allow illegal neglecting of humanity in general, especially when supported by our government! I must elaborate on a few experiences I faced in the last week that people need to understand.  Many are emotional and hard to talk about realities.  Even though this movement is world wide with at least 70% supportive of it the main stream media is attempting to discredit us, saying it's without a purpose.  Our government and corporations don't want us to talk about things and are trying to sensor it from the public as much as possible. It's all about money to the rich and not to help others in anyway. Let me prove that to you.

For example there are thousands of truly mentally ill people who have limited control of there brains and there motor functions that are being punished. I'm talking about obviously disabled and the mentally ill who clearly Can't take care of themselves, they Are Being Neglected!! How can citizens who are unable to work and fend for themselves because they are mentally challenged be left stranded without help and become homeless, hungry, and endangered. I'm serious about being in danger as is proved by a recent news cast. Recently a lady was caught after kidnapping and  holding 3 mentally ill people hostage, in attempt to collect there social security checks. They were found chained up, starving, abused, and physically beaten while she stole there identity to collect money. I balled my eyes out last night after seeing that news cast. Since I have been living, talking, and becoming friends with these neglected people I really was emotional about the news cast. I've realized it's not just neglect of our government to blame, it's our responsibility to demand there accountability.  Even though your not suffering yourself it's important to not sit back and do nothing.  We have allowed thousands of people to be enslaved and tortured and will continue to support it UNLESS WE DO SOMETHING!

Just one of the several mentally ill people who have came to Occupy Eugene has been abused so bad right in front of my face. Since they have nowhere else to go I get to see first hand the lack of humanity our system has forced upon people. A gal who is clearly needing medical attention and government assistance was instead arrested I believe unlawfully! Just because a mentally ill person has an emotional breakdown she was pepper sprayed, pined, handcuffed, and haled off to jail. All this happened even though it was known by the cops that she would be let out an hour later since there was no charge being placed! This Clearly mentally ill lady (Cops and Cahoots both agreed she was) was homeless, helpless, and clearly in need of government assistance was released to the streets one hour later in her same dirty cloths, even though she is homeless and she was drunk and it was 3am! She of course came directly back to the Occupation which is the only spot she has anyone to help her! We have fed her, clothed her and provided a tent and bedding all things she didn't have at all. This is one reason I must keep fighting for this movement since no one else will take care of the Helpless mentally ill people besides us!

While many people think we have a good system and that not much change is needed it is proved everyday, that is an illusion. I've realized that Millions are suffering while trying to live the  "American Dream." Not just the mentally ill are being neglected, millions of hard working citizens are being betrayed by government and the corporations that run it. Poverty, hunger, incarceration, deaths, crime, unemployment, health problems, and disparity have hit an all time record in history. About a Million people starve everyday causing 1,000 deaths from Hunger, how can we let this happen Everyday!?  Why is it we allow five times more people eat pharmaceuticals in America causing complications resulting in 11 people dieing every day form pills. We have the incarcerated % in America than any other country. Infertility rates,  health complications, man made drugs and vaccines, diabetes and other diseases that didn't exist a decade ago are becoming an epidemic in America. We have the Worst health care system, food regulators, and education systems in the world. The numbers are hard to conceive so I attached an article filled with amazing must see graphs and charts below.

CHARTS: Here's What The Wall Street Protesters are so angry about!

We have hit a tipping point in history where it can't get much worse for the average person. It has become a struggle to just survive with food, water, gas, and housing at all time highs. It's criminal that these things are that expensive since technology and agriculture have improved so much in just the last decade it is a fact these resources should be cheaper than ten years ago not more expensive! It's just more proof we are being betrayed. Food is cheaper to grow, houses are cheaper to make, energy is easier to produce, but the price is 5-10 times more than it was a decade ago! Without people waking up fast and demanding a big change in world policies soon we will find the average working class person suffering worse then even today.

It's up to us to make a difference we need to take action because our government is Not going to help like many hope they will. Our own citizens suffer while we have increased military spending and have invaded other countries, many who have not been thankful at all and look at us as sick murdering Americans which we truely have become by allowing the killing innocent people. We Must fight for a better world since our government is doing the opposite. They have clearly even betrayed our own citizens in America, YES  thats even YOU! War is producing so much money for the government and that's the only reason it hasn't ended years ago our ever started in the first place! Don't say war was started because of 9/11 until you look up the facts! Fact is, if we sit back and do nothing, we will be allowing corruption, murdering of millions of innocent people, and neglect of our own citizens.

The 1% which consist of only a select few are running our lives into the ground. The people running the banks, corporations, wall street, military, and FDA control our lives and we Can't let it happen anymore. Even though you might be living a decent comfortable life these realities are effecting you more than you think. By not educating yourself you might be more vulnerable than you think. For example your food and water are allowed to contain poison in America but not in other countries. GMO's and Fluoride are banned in several places in the world but allowed still in America without even having to be labeled!  See MERCOLA for more info

Remember the housing boom where we were told buying a house was the best investment ever but years later tens of thousands of illegal foreclosures have happen. Thousands of hard working families including my own had there payments doubled and interest rates hiked up, forcing them out of there houses.

Please Educate Yourself on WHY people are calling the Occupy Wall Street movement a revolution, and WHY it has spread world wide with media portraying it as pointless.  You must not use Fox news as your only source of info. Research and study the purpose from several different websites and people. Go to an Occupation site, ask questions, and get involved! If your in Eugene our any other city that has a movement I urge you to speak up and join the millions of others who are fighting for you. Join the community in being supportive of this movement and proudly tell others that why you are the 99%.

Don't just watch people fight for peace, justice, and a better world for Everyone become involved. Help in anyway possible by sharing the info you learn. Start a blog, YouTube, Twitter, our whatever you can to spread the word and of course become active in your town. Those who are active in helping this cause realize that there's so many others who care and that they are not alone.

I will keep you posted on what comes out of this movement and how it is effecting my life. I have found meaning in my life to help others and live a happy healthy life. With that I will close saying I care about you even if your a stranger our not, I send you so much love no matter what you believe our have done, and thank you so much for reading and becoming involved! I thank you for becoming part of the revolution! PEACE!
